James Ussher and the Creation of the universe:
When it comes to suggesting a date for the creation of the Earth, perhaps few people have been the butt of more ridicule on the subject from sceptics than Archbishop James Ussher. It was Ussher who in the 1650s put forward the idea that this occurred on October 23, 4004 BC, and this year appeared as a marginal note in many Bibles up until about the mid-20th century. So was Ussher a wise man, a charlatan, or just naive? And what should we think about his date?

When I was developing VB screens in early 00's, I was impressed by how periods fit on a screen. Page 6 and 7 were bears, but then I thought, 'it was busy'. And God knew all this 'from the beginning', and He let me see it, and pass it on...
To whosoever has ears to hear, eyes to see, a tongue to speak, a mind to 'reason together', and a heart to submit: else we walk away, less the wiser, less productive, and leaving us all open to the temporal judgement. And regardless, some of us to the eternal judgment.

Is golf important? Is anything that glorifies God important?
To what extent do we participate in life's process? Should we abandon the world, and our posterity, thinking that the Kingdom is coming?
What if the Kingdom is now? * And that Jesus' return is based on our need to be rescued from the plague that beset Noah's generation (and others).
We have abandoned our schools, workplace, politics (hence judiciary), etc. and setup and work for Band-Aid ministries (liberalism). What about cures?
Maybe we should re-think our strategy.
* Is Rev 20 about the 1st 1000 years of the Church and their success until the Great ISM Schism of 1054. What about our success (or our own ism failure) in the 2nd 1000? 2054? In 2033 it will be 2000 years since Jesus Ascended.
Back in 75' I had my own reality moment. I started reading the Bible, from Genesis. At first the history (or intellectual reality) grabbed me. Weeks later after reading of the 'two thieves', I did a 'repentant thief thing'.
